Friday Finds . . .
A few of the wow moments, or things I discover each week that tickle my fancy. I hope that they may inspire or tickle yours too!
These painted furniture pieces are gorgeous. There are two more besides this chair. I have always wanted to be brave enough to repaint an old chair. I just love this. From Domaine Home.
I love, LOVE this paper lantern. I think it is unusual and quite beautiful. You can find out more here, on Rebbeca's DIY. Know what I think would be really nice done as this. The Eiffle Tower or the Statue of Liberty . . . Big Ben!
I just A-D-O-R-E this fairy garden from Aidie's Hideaway! You need to go and look at the other pictures. I am so going to do this next year! It's just beautiful and such a fab idea! You all know how much I love anything to do with fairies! So cute!
This is a brilliant idea for holding head bands (or Alice bands as they are called over here in the UK) and hair clips. It's like a toilet roll holder except on a smaller scale! I love it. Found on Hello Kirsti. Quite simply brilliant and so cute!
Make it yourself Mod Podge. This stuff is so expensive, but I love it. It's nice to know you can make your own a bit cheaper. Found on Do It Yourself Divas. Simple!
Now this is absolutely BRILLIANT! Hidden Storage Books from Sewing Barefoot. You can use this to hide a router or any other must have but unsightly haves! There is a complete Tutorial!
How to turn flat sheets into curtains the easy way. From Welcome to Heardmont. It's a complete tutorial. I have a lot of full size sheets left from when we had the double bed. No double beds here anymore. Just twins. I've been telling myself for months that I am going to do something with the sheets. Now I have no excuse not to!
I just love LOVE this idea. Family Yearbooks. There is a complete tutorial on how to do just that with your collected photos each year. I have all mine collected in a folder on the computer, but it would be nice to have hard copies of them all. Found on cre8d design. Totally brilliant. (I can hear Todd now . . . More books! UGH!)
You know when someone is having a huge birthday and someone covers their lawn with pink flamingos? Well, now you can make pink flamingo straws for the birthday party! Very simple to do too. Found on Fete Gazette. So cute!
How to make your own Ricotta Cheese. Found on Kitchn. It's so simple to do too. I am so going to do this!!! Ricotta Cheese is expensive to buy and sometimes hard to find. Now I can make my own. Simple.
And that's it for this week. I hope that you found something useful amongst all of these goodies. I know I sure did!
A thought to carry with you through today . . .

In The English Kitchen today . . . how to build the perfect Turkey Sub. I am waxing nostalgic on SubWay and making my own.

Have a perfectly wonderful Friday everyone! Hasn't the week just flown by? Far too quickly in my opinion.
PS - Meant to tell you I called the Doctors again yesterday and still no results on the thumb! I am starting to get very annoyed!
I would be annoyed as well Marie. However I do hope you have a wonderful Friday. Lots of love,
ReplyDeleteSuzan
Thanks Suzan! You too! xxoo
ReplyDeleteI can hardly believe that it is Friday either Marie. what a quick week this has been. Thanks as always for all these wonderful places for us to check out. Have already been looking at the Riccota cheese...what a wonderful idea and so easy..will be giving this a try out...Think Mary would love that as well she would think it was magic...( just as I did when I was a wee girl and Mum showed me how to make butter from the cream at the top of the milk )
ReplyDeletechanged days no cream at top of milk now or not much anyway...
It is rediculas to have to wait so long for a reply from hosp. Marie. They should be able to text the results through almost immediatley. I knwo the surgeon I saw was able to se ethe Xrays taken only 2 days before I saw him, he just did a few clicks on his puter and there they were. The GP did the same...
sending love as always and wishing you a good weekend. Hope the sun continues to shine
Ooooo...just LOVE that little fairy garden in the zink tub!! I have to show that to my sister--she'll want to make one for her daughter. :o) Fun with the DIY Mod Podge--it's crazy expensive to buy here too. Homemade ricotta cheese--gotta try that too! Thanks for this week's fun, Marie! :O) Happy Weekend to you all there ((LOVE & BIG HUGS)) P.S. Your sub is WAY better than SubWay! We've been doing sandwiches here this week--we're having a heat wave here, so less cooker/oven! LOL...
ReplyDeleteThe surgery I go to does not have a very good reputation Sybil. I am beginning to see why. Most prescriptions not filled until often more than a week after putting them in. Having to wait for overly lengthy time for test results. Often not able to see the same Doctor twice. Just terrible. I am going to try the ricotta cheese as well! It looks really easy! xxoo
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracy! I hope you have a great weekend as well! No heat wave here, not as yet anyways! Or maybe I am just becoming more hardened in my old age! xxoo
This week has flown by and I'm amazed it is Friday already. These nice summer days are flying by. I'm trying to savor them as much as I can by getting outside but then nothing is being done inside. I am getting a lot of reading done however. Hope you have a fantastic Friday!
ReplyDeleteWE, too, like to take advantage of the nice weather when we can get it Pam! I hope you have a lovely Friday as well! xxoo

ReplyDeleteHow exciting Marlene! You will have a wonderful time! I wish we could meet up! xxoo
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie! xxoo
You always find the best finds. I loved the two recipes that are less expensive. I also really liked the curtains from sheets and the family yearbooks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for it all; love that you do this.
Blessings and hugs for you!
Thanks LeAnn! I really enjoy finding these things and sharing them with all of you! xxoo
