Mother's Day and Flowers

It is hard to believe that in just about a week and a half it will be Mothering Sunday over here in the UK. In North America it won't be celebrated for another two months, plenty of time to think about what to get your mum over there. I, though, have the wierd situation where I must buy any card etc. for my mom ahead of time in March, because in May, when it is my mum's Mother's Day, such a thing as a Mother's Day card is nowhere's to be found over here. Thank goodness for Interflora though, where Mother's Day Flowers and gifts are always available, and right at the end of my fingertips.

Beautiful things like this gorgeous Flowering Lantern that they recently sent me, just in time for Mother's Day. Isn't it just so very pretty??? And best of all, it will be around, giving me pleasure, long after Mother's Day is done and dusted. Pink azalea plants and ivy, very prettily planted in a decorative pale blue lantern with hanging hook. I cannot wait to see how it looks when we get situated in our new home.

I do hope that you will pop on over to the Inter Flora site to take a look at all the Mother's Day Flowers and gifts that are available. I believe you will be most pleasantly surprised! I know I was!

See you in about a week's time. ☺

  4. Yes, God speed! Looking forward to having you back.

We have a camelia in bloom and the crocuses and snowdrops up and ready to pop as the daffs fight their way onwards and upwards, relentless in their determination to be there for when Spring springs. They don't mindbeing first guests to arrive! The outside of the house, on the other hand, looks a mess with thr Keefster having knocked of most of the old render in prep for it being redone - delayed until next Monday wouldn't you know.

I wish you a safe journey and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

    lots of love, Angie, xxx

  7. Such lovely flowers, they look so pretty in that lantern--what a clever arrangement! I have the same "problem" regarding cards/gifts. Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. is different here too, and I must send back home to the USA as well...Feel I'm always juggling my card/occasion calender and buying ahead to be sure no one gets missed--LOL! Thinking about you & Todd so much this morning as you make your way to Chester. I do hope all things will be found and fall neatly into place. Very much look forward to hearing your news when you get back--will miss you! Wishing you both a very safe, happy and productive journey, dear friend! LOVE YOU HEAPS!! :o) ((BIG HUGS))
