Right now I want to go up in the mountains and just enjoy some time by a river or stream. I hope I can get a moment to do that.
Your crocheted blankets are lovely. Barb and you are so good at this. I need someone to sit by me and show me how. I am so bad at reading patterns.
What a lovely post this was today.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way! Join to the top of the last stitch in the last row, turn your work to the left and start crocheting back. Not sure if I am explaining it right, but it makes for a really lovely finish! I will pray for your friend and her family. The Lord knows who they are. Happy Mother's Day to you! Love you, xoxo PS - glad you didn't get any hail. I love Lilacs. I love the way you write, I always feel like I'm there!

It is stormy and windy here today, while I type I can hear thunder rolling across the sky. A friend from the city just called and wanted to know if we had hail damage, as there was a bad hail storm in our area. We didn't get any hail, thank goodness! My Lilacs are just starting to bloom and I would be very disappointed to lose those beautiful blossoms!

I'm so glad you are getting some warm days, noting better than going out and soaking up some sunshine. Cole is kind of a baby, and only likes to stay out if we are out. Sometimes, I make him stay out and he really grumbles about it... ;0)

I'm so sorry for your landlord, I hope they caught it in time. I have lost more people than I care to think about to cancer. A dear friend of mine is going through cancer treatments right now. Her cancer is incurable, but the chemo will give her some time to be with her family, it's so sad. Dennis will be in my prayers.

Your blanket is adorable! I tried that pattern, but I don't understand how the "flipping" part works. I know that the granny square blankets can get skitty whompus really easy! I will have to look at it again and try it out.

Your recipe looks wonderful, I will have to give it a try!

Have a wonderful Sunday! Big squishy hugs to you and Todd!

Love,
Barb

Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15158897469583069249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762115079758642698.post-33094563476777701412018-05-12T18:11:33.464+01:002018-05-12T18:11:33.464+01:00Thanks Monique! I hope you will have a great time in Scotland! I can imagine how beautiful it is this time of year! Yes, we are so blessed to have the NHS and all it gives to us! Earlier on the week it was warm enough to open up the doors and it did feel wonderful. What a difference the sunshine makes! This buns look wonderful and I'll definitely check out your recipe. Will also keep your landlord in my prayers too. Cancer is a terrible illness as you know. Both my parents and husband died from a result of it. But everyday things are improving and new discoveries made so hopefully in the not too distant future a cure will be found. We are so lucky to live near Clatterbridge too, its an amazing oncology centre and it's free! I love the NHS!

Talking of the NHS I hope you're mammogram went ok. They are uncomfortable but definitely worth it. My best friend Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago as a result of her mammogram and she is fantastic now. She would never have picked it up herself as she hadn't noticed any lumps or changes in her breast. We are blessed to have these things freely available to us.

Well I'm hoping the good weather continues as we're off to Scotland on Monday for five days. So I'll probably be on catch up again next weekend! Have a great week, lot's of love xxx kate hazlehursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11765372270255609078noreply@blogger.com
