It is scary how the younger generation is right now. In many ways, I feel strongly that this pandemic is to help humble people and for sure increase the missionary work after it is over. I do think it all is in preparation for the 2nd coming. I will look forward to that one and pray for it. It could be in our lifetime but much to go through. However, we have the promise that God will look after his righteous people. Hopefully, this brings out the best in us all.
Blessings and hugs for you two! It is promising that there have not been any new cases in China. But Italy is heartbreaking and when I see the irresponability of our youth in this country, it beggars belief. Just stay home. Period. You stay safe and healthy Elizabeth. And I might just have to eventually humble myself and ask eventually. For the time being we are okay. Young people are so good with these scammers. My father has been caught out several times. Despicable people. As to flour...here on Amazon, there are lots of alternate flours, like nut flours. I find Almond flour is the best one for the more wheat flour like results...and of course, there is good ole tapioca flour, which I avoid like the plague as it hurts my gut worse than gluten. But this is the time we should be inventive with our recipes...maybe you will even come up with a new book of them during this time...though we all hope it does not last forever!! The toilet paper mess is unreal. I have made some little wipes for #1 for myself so that will save about half the TP here. So far tis so nice...as we age our tissues become more fragile and I often find TP is just too scratchy. So I am thinking to continue you this for the rest of my life. Right now I have some large plastic jars with lids...one for clean...one for used...and I put some vinegar water in that one to store till I have enough to wash. Bought some new lingerie bags...one will be devoted for this. I ordered a metal chamber pot as they used to be called, for the used wipes when the pot gets here. I am HOPEFUL we do not need to make some for #2...but if we do...I have plenty of flannel around...even lots of scraps. My NC daughter told me tonight that one of her friends is making the wipes out of flannel to sell now!! THERE, take that, merchants...hopefully in future you will get even less of our money!! There is an awful lot of price gouging going on...but our forefathers and mothers were resourceful people...we come from strong people, Marie!! Let us find solutions!! Hang in there!!
Hugs, Elizabeth xoxoElizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07529409389057290042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762115079758642698.post-18791082476986339732020-03-22T19:42:23.305+00:002020-03-22T19:42:23.305+00:00Hi Marie, don't let that comment bother you - ...Hi Marie, don't let that comment bother you - I've seen it on several other blogs for some time. It's just some awful thing making the rounds. Not personal. Your blog is a sunny place, thank you for that.
Marylittlemancathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17042609230502564280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762115079758642698.post-56017856408059958172020-03-22T16:47:48.620+00:002020-03-22T16:47:48.620+00:00We should be able to do without a grocery order fo...We should be able to do without a grocery order for quite awhile now.

Does your church not have anyone who can bring things for you? Our church has been trying to do that for the older members.

I am not surprised at all by the comment...that is a very scared & bitter person. If they do live to old age, they will be very alone & miserable. It's hard to think what kind of childhood they had to be so angry & afraid right now. But you should let it go...their words are lies....the boomers are not hated bey every race or younger generation....only by those young people who were not loved & well cared for themselves.

I'm watching for the robins to come back & build a nest in my red bud tree. I have an amazing view from my front window. And I will get to enjoy it with my 2 yr old grandson this time.

I'm so glad you have a garden to enjoy. I think spring is going to help most of us through this. I would hate to be going into fall.

What a good joke with the scam call. I sometimes just hand my phone to my grandson & let him talk. I get at least one, sometimes three or four of these calls every single day. It is such a huge nuisance! If I feel like it, I keep them on the line to waste their time. I've had them curse at me too.

Stay safe!

Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00305409125105992525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762115079758642698.post-31757055673709904742020-03-22T12:41:00.039+00:002020-03-22T12:41:00.039+00:00Appalled by that comment..:( Geesh.. You are right a treat once in a while never hurts anyone! I did a bit of painting yesterday, but not a lot. I am hoping that I will have time to do more today! I had wanted to order some flour, laundry soap and a few bits. Dog food. Mitzie tends to get an upset tummy when she has too much people food, so I like to keep things as normal for her as I can. I am hoping that our Government is soon able to sort things like this out. You cannot find flour anywhere at the moment. Love and hugs. xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762115079758642698.post-25551914111616580142020-03-22T08:53:52.694+00:002020-03-22T08:53:52.694+00:00The person who left that nasty comment isn't d...The person who left that nasty comment isn't dead yet. Just think of all the trials and tribulations he/she might have to go through. That person will grow old as surely as we all do and will be singing a different tune. Who knows what our world will be like in 50 or 60 years? I listened to a young man give a similar rant in a shopping mall merely because his way had been impeded by an elderly person using a walker. His girlfriend (I presume) tried to hush him up but he would have no part of that. I wonder how he treats his parents or grandparents? I am going to make some blueberry muffins. Since my diagnosis of diabetes almost a month ago, I have managed to reduce my blood sugars to near normal. So...I have decided to allow a treat once in a while, hence making muffins. I will freeze some so my husband doesn't have to eat them all at once. We have enough provisions to sit tight for at least the next week and probably much longer. Your experience ordering food must be very frustrating. It does get tedious, doesn't it? Did you get any painting done yesterday? Take gentle care. Enjoy your Sunday. Ignore those who have no heart.
