OUTSIDE MY WINDOW ...
Periods of rain and mild temperatures have caused much of the snow to melt away and we have a few rainy days ahead of us. The temperature is expected to go up to 17*C/62.6*F today. I expect I will see ants. I hate ants. They are really annoying.
I AM THINKING ...
Eileen has one more iron infusion, and then she will be done. Hopefully she will be feeling a lot better than she has been.
I AM ALSO THINKING ...
It's tax season. I hope I have enough savings, just in case I end up having to pay additional tax over and above what I have been sending in each month. Yesterday I had to have a new battery put in the car. It would not start when I went to go to Cindy's on Sunday. That cost me over $300 and I will need two new spring tires next month, plus my electric bill was way up this time. I am trying not to be concerned.

DeleteAdded expenses really take a bite out of the budget. We had that warm day yesterday, lovely to have windows open and feel a bit of warmth and hear all the birds. Rain starting this afternoon and right through till tomorrow, might be icy at times. Snow is going down quickly. Haven't watched Bridgerton, might give it a go. Have a lovely Tuesday.

I made your Mom’s Hot Milk Cake this morning. I baked it in a smallish round tin so the layers will be higher. Just wondering what kind of jam to use. Can’t wait to try it. DeleteWe are feeling very pinched these days too...and now the TV may be going out...which is about all Hubby does now...so trying to see if with online help, we can somehow get it working better!! Yesterday saw the doc...dropped $250 there...he does not do insurance, which is one reason he can be a great doctor. Doing what is best for the patient, not best for whomever is skimming money off us this way. We do have insurance, but we are wondering if it is worth it, other than catestrophic. Always something...hang in there, Marie...lots of us are in similar places.
